Black Artists of Oregon Convening February 24–25, 2024
On Saturday February 24 and Sunday February 25, the Black Artists of Oregon Convening will be presented at the Portland Art Museum in conjunction with the Black Artists of Oregon exhibit. The program explores Black arts stewardship, collecting, and caretaking practices through a variety of voices, and is organized by curator and artist, Intisar Abioto.
On Sunday, February 25 at 9:30am X Gallery’s Managing Director, Jennifer Viviano will be participating in the panel titled “Caretaking for Black Arts Legacies.” Jennifer will be joined by panelists Abdi Al Sharif, Aaliyah Azeem, Tracy Drake, and moderators Intisar Abioto and Bobby Fouther.
